منہ سے نکلی ہوئی ہر بات پکڑ لیتے ہیں

بھول کر جیت کو بس مات پکڑ لیتے ہیں

ہے محبت کا یہ انداز بھی دلکش کتنا

پھول پکڑاوں تو وہ ہاتھ پکڑ لیتے ہیں

کچھ مقدر بھی مرا کھل نہ سکا مجھ پر اور 

ناگہاں کچھ مجھے حالات پکڑ لیتے ہیں

جھوٹ سننےکا ہے عادی یہ جو سارا عالم

سچ کہوں جب تو مری ذات پکڑ لیتے ہیں

گھر کی تنہائی سے بے کل ہو کے لاغر بوڑھے

ہاتھ میں تاش کے پھر پات پکڑ لیتے ہیں
